Students about to start on an English speaking university course are welcome to stay with us on our “English orientation programme” to improve their spoken language skills whilst also getting used to life in England.

We combine this with carefully selected linguistic activities so that the children learn English without knowing that they are doing it!
The kids’ English language school is limited to 6 students at any one time. All students live with us at Hill Top House for the two week school and take part in a full activity programme. Typical activities include visits to London, Cambridge and Windsor as well as swimming in our heated outdoor pool, table tennis, football and board games. We also arrange quizzes, film nights, bingo and a traditional English Christmas dinner. Each child is encouraged to keep a daily journal of activities in English and will have the opportunity to work with tutors to improve their journal entries. By limiting numbers to 6, we are able to give each child individual attention and language support.

English Orientation Programme
Moving to the UK for the first time to start studying can be an overwhelming experience. Feedback from leading academic institutions indicates that IELTS alone may not be enough to ensure students can fully participate in higher education once they arrive in the UK. Our English orientation programme is designed to improve students’ spoken and listening skills so that they find day to day communication easier. We will also introduce students to the practicalities of life in the UK so that they are ready to make the most of their university experience from day one. Students will receive a minimum of 10 hours’ group tuition per week.
Our tutor team includes Oxford and Cambridge graduates with practical experience in law, marketing and human resources. We can accept up to 4 students at any one time for the programme and will tailor course activities to meet specific learning requirements.
